Description
Globe valves from Fluent Valves are specially engineered for fine flow regulation and throttling applications. Unlike gate valves, globe valves allow partial opening and precise modulation of fluid flow, making them suitable for scenarios where flow control, not just isolation, is essential.
Our design uses an outside-screw & yoke (OS&Y) rising spindle with a backseat arrangement, allowing safe maintenance and sealing at the bonnet when the valve is open. The working parts are renewable and made from SS 410 (13% Cr) by default, with options for more corrosion-resistant alloys for harsh service.
Variants include straight-through and angle-type bodies. In angle-type, the fluid path changes direction within the body, which can reduce piping and improve layout flexibility. ND-40 variants allow special mid-range face-to-face dimensions for certain applications.
Globe valves can be actuated manually (handwheel), by gear mechanism (for higher torque), electric actuation, or pneumatic actuation. For applications where torque 350 N·m, gear operation is recommended. Additional accessories include limit switches, position indicators, locking arrangements, and stellited surfaces for enhanced wear resistance.
Our globe valves are suitable for a wide variety of media-liquids, gases, steam, slurries-and are built to handle severe services including high temperature, corrosive environments, and frequent throttling cycles.
